Japanese fans celebrated with their furry friends during the holidays, and the show’s popularity in the country is still growing.
A Japanese anime festival was held in Tokyo last weekend.
The theme was “Movies, Games, and Friends,” and there were performances of many Japanese films, including “Cute and Sweet.”
“The main event was the screening of ‘Cute And Sweet’ and the main theme of the evening was ‘Furry Friends,'” the official Twitter account of the event said.
The event drew over 2,000 attendees.
“Candy & Friends” features the voice cast of the popular anime “Cutie” and is also based on the “Makeshift Family” manga series.
“Moonshots,” a collaboration between the film studio Studio Ghibli and TV studio Sunrise, premiered on Netflix on Dec. 25.
